Purpose of this program:
The Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, NIDDK, is responsible for managing programs in basic and clinical research, training and career development in digestive diseases, liver diseases, nutrition and obesity. The Division provides grant support using a variety of NIH mechanisms, including investigator initiated awards, cooperative agreements and contracts. In addition, the Division provides resource support through Digestive Diseases, Nutrition, and Obesity/Nutrition Research Centers.
